Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup (1 Stick) of butter, room temperature
- 1 Cup of granulated sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 1/2 Cups of white flour
- 1 Teaspoon baking soda
- 1 Teaspoon salt
- 1 Cup mashed ripe banana
- 1/2 Cup sour cream
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 Cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 Cup chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350° and spray a 9x5 pan with non stick spray.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry mixture into the butter mixture and mix to combine.
- Add in mashed banana, sour cream, and vanilla. Mix until thick and creamy.
- Add in the pecans and chocolate chips, mix until combined and pour mixture into baking dish.
- Bake for between 60-75 minutes or until bread has risen and a toothpick comes out clean when dipped into the center of the bread.
- Let the bread cool (I usually make mine in the evening and let cool overnight) and cut into slices.
P.S. -- My oven temperature can be finicky and sometimes this bread does take a while for me. Definitely keep an eye on it once it hits the 50 minute mark!
