My Bridal Shower

Today I am looking back on my bridal shower and the excitement I had for that day. My maid of honor, Shelby, was getting married just five weeks after me and I was also her maid of honor. We were both busy and stressed and against her will, I decided I was going to plan most of my own shower. I have a passion for planning, especially events like showers and weddings.

I am a type-A person that has a way for everything. I had a vision for this day and apparently I was the only person that I was going to let execute that vision. The night before the shower, Shelby and my cousin from Boston, Gloria, came to my house to help set everything up and take care of last minute details.

The morning of the shower I went to a blow dry bar for some pampering while Shelby and Gloria baked quiche, plated the appetizers, etc. Everything came out so perfect!

The invitations were from Paperless Post. They don't have them in stock anymore, but they have so many adorable options here. The stamps were from zazzle.
While I was planning my wedding, Lauren Conrad also was. I saw on her Instagram the napkins pictured above and knew I had to have them. Such a small detail but it brought me so much joy.
The mimosa bar was amazing.

Since the shower was earlier the day, we served fruit, yogurt granola cups, a family quiche recipe, muffins, etc.

We played two different games, all with prizes to keep people involved. We played the "what's in the honeymoon bag." We used a Lily Pulitzer cooler bag filled with things like a magazine, lip gloss, a coozie, etc.

We also played the "what's in YOUR purse" game. I had these adorable little cards made from Wedding Paper Divas.
We ended the shower with adorable little favors.

I love a good play on words and the favors did just that!
My sister-in-law and me.
My MOH, Shelby.
The BOWquet came out so great!

After the shower I was sure to get my thank you notes out asap. I was super motivated because I loved the cards I had made.

The whole shower was so much fun and I wouldn't have had it any other way!
