Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Another favorite family recipe for you lovelies today! This recipe actually comes out around Christmas time, but this year I decided it would be great for Thanksgiving! The cookies are moist and fluffy. They aren't overpowering and make for a perfect little treat!

  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 1 Cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 Cup butter, softened
  • 1 Tablespoon grated orange peel (in the spice aisle, very important!)
  • 2 Cups all purpose flour
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 Teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 Cup chocolate chips
  1. Mix together sugar, pumpkin, and butter until fluffy.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the grated orange peel, flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Slowly add the dry mixture to the butter mixture until thick and creamy.
  4. Add the chocolate chips and stir until mixed in.
  5. Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
